Outside my window...it is pitch black outside, and it's past my bed time!
I am thankful...that God opened the doors for me to teach again. I'm thankful that He will show me a way to stay balanced soon. I'm praying!
I am wearing...khaki carpi's and my robe. I started getting ready for bed.
I am creating...a list of "to do's" for tomorrow's dead day! I'm also NOT doing a whole lot on purpose.
I am reading...teacher blogs and trying to catch up with my blog friends! I've missed you.
I am hearing...My friend Liz's music on her blog! We have similar taste in music, and I'm fixing to pay her a visit.
On my mind...How I really want to focus on my family tomorrow as much as possible. I've cried a lot lately because I really MISS them. The boys have spent time with grandparents, Aunts and Uncles, and big brother lately. They spent three nights at granny's. That is the longest we have ever left them somewhere.
From the learning rooms...I have a first grader, fourth grader, and a sophomore in college. Wow! I also have a bunch of four year olds who will be making my days...interesting I'm sure.
One of my favorite things...knowing I can make a difference for the Glory of God.
A few plans for the rest of the week...try to get some sleep before school starts on Thursday! I told my para pro/aide, Lela, to have a good weekend tonight. I'm that tired!
- My Word Picture... They were so proud of their new hair cuts.

Hope you get the chance to relax a little and enjoy your new job!
Aw, you sweet sweet thing, you! Your boys are getting SO big!
I always wanted to be a teacher. I used to want to teach High School English, but now it would be Pre-School/Kindergarten for sure! How FUN!! I'll bet you are the greatest teacher ever!!
Relax and enjoy your family tomorrow!!!
Enjoy your time teaching...I'm sure you'll do a great job. Summer has been crazy so have some fun with your boys before the routine begins!
I know you will do great and love your new school year! I expect regular posts! :) Hey, you said you want balance! Don't forget yourself (and us!) Have a great first day of school!!!! We start today.
Glad I'm not the only one, take-out, take-out, take-out. One day is pizza, one Subway, one Granny's, and one our BBQ place where I live. It IS hard. Ugh. I have found that by October, I am usually much better. SO, here's to October!
Good luck tomorrow - I will be thinking of you! I am sure you will have a wonderful year. You are the sweetest person - the kids are going to adore you.
I hope your kids have great first days too!

Good luck. They boys' haircuts are adorable!
I am so excited that you get to teach preschool. I think that would be the perfect grade for me. I hope you have a great year. I always loved getting to meet the kiddos and their parents.
Of course the photos of your boys always bring a smile to my face.
Have a great day!

Hi Rhonda!
Your blog always makes me smile :0) Your boys are so cute!
I have a little granddaughter who is starting pre-school this year - I sure hope that she is lucky enough to have a teacher like you! I love the thought about "choice words". What a great reminder of how we need to talk to everyone, not just children.
Leaving your kids is hard! I can remember the first time I left my oldest, (who turns 35 tomorrow) it was so hard! But, I'll bet they had a wonderful time making memories!
Good luck with your class, you'll be great, and I hope your boys have a great school year as well!
Hugs,
Barb

I should be looking for a new job too. I need to get the kids into a routine first...hope it all goes well for you this year. I also need to work on my kitchen skills so we don't eat out all the time with our hectic after school schedules.
Cute pictures of the boys.
Counting my blessings today.
Loved reading your blog...Have a great holiday weekend.
