Simple Woman's Daybook

~*~ Rhonda's Daybook~*~
Today is... Tuesday, July 6, 2010

Outside my window...it is sunny with some dark clouds hovering above. Our grass is coming back, but we could use some more rain!

I am thinking...I would love to spend a weekend at home.

I am thankful...that Michael has joined me in the Couch to 5K program. It has been so wonderful to do something healthy as a family. The boys ride their bikes while we walk/jog. I'm also thankful that my car has new tires, alignment, oil change, and a new windshield.

Thanks honey!

I am wearing...workout clothes. We did week 2, day 1 of the program this morning. Woohoo!

I am remembering...how I didn't finish the Shred. I stopped at day 23. However, it's time to move forward. I want this time to be different, Lord willing. I will be unstoppable!

I am creating
...a place for all of my boys school work and projects that we want to keep. I'm very excited about something that is working for me!

I am going...to try a new Olive Garden inspired recipe this week.

I am reading...hmmm, not much at the moment. I need to get up earlier for nice quiet time before the boys wake up.

I am hoping/praying
...that I hear from the school soon!

I am hearing...how Caden wants something else to eat...again...growing boys!

On my mind...Cameron's 9th birthday party, the school year, and my man.

From the learning rooms...No preschool this week. The boys will be reading lots of books this week.

Pondering these words:

"What is courage? It is the ability to be strong in trust, in conviction, in obedience. To be courageous is to step out in faith-to trust and obey, no matter what." Kay Arthur

From the kitchen...
Monday: Colten's
Wednesday: breakfast for dinner
Thursday: spaghetti
Friday: steak and potatoes
Saturday: Olive Garden's Zuppa Toscana soup, bread sticks, and salad
Sunday: FFY

Around the house
...suitcase and backpacks to be emptied, and laundry to catch up on.

One of my favorite things
...hearing my boys laugh!

A few plans for the rest of the week
...

*Take the library trip we didn't take last week.

*Accomplish 1 project for the bathroom.

*Complete 1 project for Cameron's birthday party.

My Word Picture...

We watched fireworks at the Church of Pinnacle Hills on the 4th. I've heard there were about 6000 people there. This time has a special meaning to us because Cameron was baptized under the crosses two years ago.

Sounds like a good day! I'd love to see pictures of the space for your boy's work. I need to get myself and my girls organized.

Love the firework photo!
I wish we were getting some of the rain you all have seen. Our yards are just as brown as can be. All we have seen is a few sprinkles.
I can't wait to hear more about your couch to 5K, that sounds very interesting.
Have a fabulous day!

I love your SWDB posts! You go girl with the workout program. I quit The Shred too. I am so unmotivated this Summer. I thought I was going to be so good about running my trail, but it seems like there is always something I need to get dressed and do. Keep going!

Post your OG recipe, ok? I need something new to make this week. Have a great week Rhonda. Love ya~

XOXO
Jen

Great Daybook! I think it is so great that you are doing a 5k. My nieces just did one here and they loved it!

The Georgia chicken sounds great, I'm always looking for quick easy meals at my house!

Fireworks picture was gorgeous!
