Friend Makin' Monday

I ♥ Friend Makin' Mondays. To find out how to join in go here!

This week we are suppose to do a little day dreaming...Ooooh La La.....So here we go...
If you had $1000 dollars, and a baby sitter for a period of 24 hours what would you do?

Okay here is the deal...honestly if I had that money today it would go to our baby step emergency fund. We just started the Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey this month. Besides writing out a budget, saving $1000.00 is the first baby step to get closer to "living like no one else." I know boring...but we would be finished with that step!!

So, let's pretend we didn't start Total Money Makeover...and I received $1000.00 and babysitting....hmmmmmm...day dreaming......I would love to surprise my husband!

Warning: I will not be held responsible for any fogging up on your computer screen. Thank you...Proceed with caution.

First I would spend the day before planning a scavenger hunt for my DH...alone time with him would be awesome now. I would buy small gifts and place them all over town with clues and notes as where to go to next. I would send him to pick up his clothes I previously picked out for him. I would send him to Victoria's Secret, and to the florist for the last few stops. He would then get ready and wait until the appointed time!

As, my husband is spending his day going to town getting more and more excited about what is to come from this hunt...I will be finishing up at the mall buying the perfect outfit, shoes, and accessories.

After shopping, I head out to the spa....I would have the works done: facial, manicure, pedicure, massage, hair and make-up. Ahhh time for me!

After my time at the spa I would get dressed up in my new clothes and head on over to our 5 * honeymoon suite.

I walk in the room and I am in awe.... The interior decorator I hired out did herself! She went out of her way to make the room special and to set the mood....candles everywhere, rose petals on the bed.... I have a beautiful table for two set up, and catered some Italian food. I beat my husband to the hotel. I prepare myself by taking deep breaths trying to calm my racing heart and the butterflies in my stomach... when I hear the knock on the door.......

Ummm, excuse me..... sorry...what was I thinking about? I was day dreaming.......
Oh, I forgot to mention I also hired someone to clean my house while we were gone. When we get home my handsome boys and a nice, clean home would greet us with open arms!!! Does this day dream have to end?

Oh yeah, Friend Makin' Monday...it's a blast!

Sounds perfect!

Do you think our husbands should read these? Wouldn't it be nice for them to look inside our head for a moment to find out what we really want! We want the same thing we just travel a different road to get there.

Hi Rhonda! What a great daydream! I know - if I really had an extra $1,000 - I would probably save it. Ha ha.

Funny post!

I had someone clean my house too!

And I so hear ya on setting the $1,000 away. That would be my reality. We're on a budget overhaul around here, so I would be paying bills or putting it away.

Sounds wonderful! I was like you on my post. I had to put what I would really do if I wasn't day dreaming. Wouldn't it be so fun if we could really plan a fun day like this! I also love the part about the cleaning lady. I wish I would have thought of that! Have a blessed day!

This was such a sweet post...!

I agree with Kasey completely on this...If you can dream it, you can do it...so this sounds like a nice little evening for and your husband at some point in the future. :)
