Our New Car

Yes, that is right we got a new car! We just got back from picking it up at my In-laws. Okay, it's not new but "new" to us. It is actually over 10 years old! It is a 97 Honda Accord EX. It has leather seats, sunroof, and an awesome Pioneer CD player. My Father-N-Law was looking for a car for one of his grand-daughters and stumbled upon this one. Well, soon the knowledge was past on to us. It is another God-send! My DH's truck only gets 18 miles to a gallon if that. He drives 40 miles to work 5 days a week. That is a lot of gas and a lot of money from our budget. The Honda...35 miles to the gallon! Ahhhh, relief! So, yes we bought a "new" car! My Father-N-Law was a mechanic so we trust his judgement. Also, it is a HONDA...they really do last!

Yes, we are still committed to the Dave Ramsey Total Money Makeover...but we thought this would help. We do not owe any money on any of our vehicles. All were paid with cash!So how much did we pay for our car? Drumroll please...........................................$500.00! Yes, that is right! It is perfect for Michael to drive to work!
