The Simple Woman's Daybook

~*~Rhonda's Daybook~*~

For Today... February 1, 2010

Outside my window...Cameron is determined to build an igloo. However, the sun is out and the snow is melting.

I am thinking...that I love his determination and drive and wondering how long it will last.

I am thankful...for this four day weekend we had as a family. There has been some grouchy times, but so much fun out in the snow.

I am wearing...a blue sweatsuit with snow boots.

I am remembering...as a child how I would get so excited when it snowed. I still do, especially when it has been the 5-6 inches we received.

I am creating...Caden's 100 day of school project. He is very excited about his 100th day celebration tomorrow.

I am going...to get this office and laundry room organized this month! I am linking up with I'm an Organized Junkie. It's a mess!

I am reading...The Bible in 90 Days...still behind, but I'm not giving up. God's word is such a blessing.

I am hoping...that the kids go back to school tomorrow, because now they have to go to school till June 7th. I want them home this summer!

On my mind...is getting back in the 30 Day Shred groove. I've missed a lot this past week. I need to get it together. I'm also wondering how all the other Shredders you see over there are doing? ------->

From the learning rooms...Cameron has been memorizing multiplication facts.

Pondering these words ..."If you are sick, run to your Healer. If you can't pay your bills run to your Provider. If you are afraid, run to your Hiding Place. If you are going through a dark time, run to your Everlasting light."~ Stormie Omartian

From the kitchen...the smell of the friendship bread I made last night is calling my name. The cleaned out fridge makes me smile.

Around the house...is a pile of cleaning supplies and stuff that I took out of the laundry room closet. The closet is empty and ready to be organized.

One of my favorite things...is taking pictures. I want to take a digital photography class this year.

A few plans for the rest of the week...planning Valentine's day, plan a fun day with my sister to celebrate our birthdays that are on the same day, start working in my office, starting a new bible study with some friends, Upward basketball, and creative projects. Busy week!

From my picture journal...

Let the snowball fights begin!

I guess you can say we are enjoying the snow here as well. The sun is slowly melting it away but luckily we can get out and go now. I love the photo of the snowball fight. Keep up the good work with the Bible reading.
Have a wonderful Monday!

Oh, that is a FANTASTIC picture! What kind of camera do you have? Maybe I can offer you some pointers? I think taking a class is a great idea. Taking pictures is so much fun, and just think of all those memories you are capturing!

Thank you for your comment. 28 children I walk from the elemantary school over to the middle school 2x a week. So they can be part of orchestra. It is a good walk about 10-12 mintues at high speed pace.

I so love your pictures, your top one on e the beach is awesome. My kids were so thrilled over the dust of sleety snow Florida received this year. They have never seen snow. To know what real snow is.

I keeping hearing "shredding" what is it?

I get so excited to see snow too- when we lived in Dallas, we used to get it about once a year but not down here!!

I am shredding still- on day 19 today- I have taken a few days of rest b/c my knees are killing me- gotta lose the weight so my knees don't hurt anymore, so I gotta keep on shredding- I did Level 1 and 2 yesterday and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be!!! Get back in your groove Momma!! You were doing SOOOOOO good!!!

LOVE that post and picture!

I want to see a picture of the igloo. :)

Lexi's 100th day is Friday, so she has to take in 100 things to share with the class (like m+m's or pretzels or something).

I loved this post! That photo is so sweet! I saw in your profile that we have a few things in common - I am a teacher turned into a stay-at-home mommy. {grin}

Love the pondering thoughts! Isn't Stormie just wonderful?

The snow is fun and the igloo sounds even more fun...however, I'm ready for spring!

I think I'll try the 90 days through the Bible next...perhaps I'll do better than I am doing on the year through?

I get excited when it snows too...so long as I don't have to get out in it LOL I've never been much of an outdoor person, but who could not love the look of all that fresh, white snow piling up?
