Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

Today is one of my favorite author's birthday....Dr. Seuss. I started off the day making green eggs and ham. The boys loved it! I also volunteered to come read to Cameron's 2nd grade classroom this afternoon.

Before we left for school, Caden wanted to dress up like Cat and the Hat. Isn't he cute! Some teachers were oooohing and ahhhing over him at school. I ended up reading "Hooray for Diffendoofer Day". The class and Mrs. Baker seemed to enjoy it, and thought it was funny. I did enjoy being in a classroom again!

This reminds me how much I miss kindergarten. I use to love to make green eggs and ham. I love the cute pictures. You are such a great mom to take time to go and read to your child's class. Don't think they won't remember these great moments.

Rhonda, That is so awesome! My daughter is having Dr. Suess week at her school also! We had a "Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast" yesterday. This week they will be filled with Dr. Suess rhymes and stories, then on Friday they have a huge Dr. Suess Carnival! Should be lots of fun.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

No, Rhonda, she didn't like the Green Eggs but she loved the Ham. She said the eggs were like Styrophom (sp?)! But it was precious watching 1st graders watch in wonderment of "GREEN EGGS!". Very cute!

What a fun day! How do you make the ham green? That was my dilemma yesterday when my son asked for them.

Rhonda,

Your little Cat in the Hat is adorable! My sweet boy came home with whiskers on his cheeks and his K teacher had made Green Eggs & Ham for the class...unfortunately, he found them "DIS-GUT-STING!!"

Thanks for leaving a comment. It was fun to see what you did to celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday. I didn't even think of putting out our stuffed Sneetch and Grinch. Thanks for the great idea. I will make sure to use them next year.
