Simple Woman's Daybook

~*~ Rhonda's Daybook~*~

Today is... Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Outside my window...it is hot! The yard needs to be mowed and our mower is once again broken. Now it's pitch black outside. I'm pretty sure the yard still needs to be mowed.

I am thinking...that I'm glad I decided not to go to town tonight. I'm too tired and we have to guide Cameron with his cell project.

I am thankful...that my new classroom construction has begun!

I am wearing...black capri pants, blue shirt, and barefoot. I need to change out of my work clothes.

I am remembering...why I started blogging in the first place. Michael just encouraged me to keep blogging. I just don't feel like I have the time and energy right now. We will see.

I am creating...a pile of clean laundry to be put away. Exciting, I know.

I am going...to list a few things on Craigslist soon. I need to get rid of our large fish tank, 4 wheeler, and some other things.

I am reading...The Key to Your Child's Heart by Gary Smalley

I am hoping/praying...that Cameron's staph infection heals completely. Also, for the poor attitudes in our family we've been seeing lately.

I am hearing...My boys playing the Wii. Now, just the dryer going. (Oh, and the missing pre-k sheet was found...hooray!)

On my mind...My energy level. I need to order my organic liquid vitamins and start taking them again.

From the learning rooms...Cameron has his big cell project due tomorrow. Caden had to learn that when he eats someones snack at school, not only does he have to write an apology note, but bring triple of what he ate to replace it. He will be paying for it himself too. Arrg!

Pondering these words: The 84 ways we can offend our children and close their spirits from the book I'm reading. Wow, very convicting. Pondering and praying that I will be a better mom to my boys.

From the kitchen... tonight...leftovers. I really need to get back to menu planning!

Around the house...testosterone...need I say more? LOVE it!

One of my favorite things...winning giveaways! I've won two this month and haven't been on the computer much at all!

A few plans for the rest of the week...

Go to town to get things for school.

Girls night out with some friends Friday night! Yea!

Possibly get our fall yard display out.

My Word Picture...

The following are some goodies I won from my blogging friend Pam at Cocomama.

I love the friend plaque and the 100 Days of Prayers book is in my school bag now. I plan on reading one a day at school on my break. Thank you Pam! I love it all!

A big thank you to Not Just A Housewife.

I received this adorable basket full of some of her favorite things. My boys pretty much took claim to the Swedish Fish. Um me...the chocolate was hidden. Ha!

I hope you keep blogging! That was fun to read. Boy are they ever starting construction! Mercy! Good for you! I think once the cooler weather hits, we are all going to feel so much better. I am interested in that book you are reading. See. You should keep blogging! And yes, it is broken. Ha!

It is so hard to keep up the blogging! I no longer strive to get posts up monday-friday. If I have to sit down and "think" of something to write then its not worth the time!

I've found so little time to blog lately too. Life is just busy, and there's not much time left at the end of the day :)

I love Gary Smalley, and am interested in that book you're reading!

Sorry about the attitudes. We go through that around here every once in awhile, and it seems to be a phase. But it can be frustrating. I'm working on being more patient, myself, so that I can better expect it of my girls.

Hugs ♥

Wonderful list. I hope you stick with blogging. I think we all go through a down time. What I ended up having to do is just blog on MWF and I usually schedule the posts on the weekends. Then I only comment on the blogs that comment on my posts. I know this is selfish but I can spend hours in blogland and really get nothing done around the house. Then finally I try to just blog about what is going on in our world so that this is a journal of our life. For the famous book.lol Keep with it, I always love your posts.
I also thought of you yesterday when I was putting up our fall decor. I was hoping you were putting up your little help decor as well. Now we have people in AR and MO laughing.
Have a blessed day!

I love reading your Daybook; keep blogging remember it is a journal which we have been counseled to keep. I relate to your thoughts on raising boys. I had three boys first and then three girls. The boys were always interesting to raise.
Blessings and hugs to you! LeAnn
