Simple Woman's Daybook

~*~ Rhonda's Daybook~*~

Today is... Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Outside my window... the sun is out, but it is cold. The wood pile is almost gone...only 25 more days until SPRING! Yes, I am counting.

I am thinking...about The Great Date Experiment our church is doing. I'm really excited about it since I've wanted to go on more dates this year.

I am thankful... for my husband who calls me just to tell me he is thinking of me, and he loves me. It made my day today!

I am wearing...a workout outfit...hoping it motivates me today. Okay shredders...how's it going?

I am remembering...the knowledge I've learned about clean eating. I need to prepare to get ready for a garden again. I love growing our own organic food.

I am creating...my blog book. I haven't posted this week because that is where most all of my computer time has been....working on my book.

I am going...to spend intentional time playing with Caden today. Caden asked me yesterday, but I was preoccupied. I don't want to let that happen again. Then later, I will go to my bible study tonight. We are studying "The Excellent Wife" by Martha Peace. I'm excited to see what God is going to do in our marriages in 2010.

I am reading...a few blogs today. I've misplaced my Bible in 90 Days and have got to find it. Maybe the trunk?? I have been taking it with me to catch up where I can. I'm hoping I didn't leave it somewhere. I've got to find it today!

I am hoping/praying...for peace about a situation at Michael's work. I am praying some of the burdens will be lifted from his shoulders. I'm also praying for the ladies in my bible study.

I am hearing...the dishwasher...I'm so thankful for a dishwasher.

On my mind...is the new long term subbing job I will begin in April. I will be the music teacher. I'm so excited. I will get to teach Caden and my niece Sharee. That's just icing on the cake.

From the learning rooms...I am so excited that we can now go online and see the kids grades. I love that. Cameron is learning his 7's in multiplication. I just received Caden's progress report. He is doing so well with all A's. His teacher also talked to me about him going once or twice a week with the reading specialists because he is so advanced in reading. I hope that pans out.

Pondering these words... Proverbs 16:3- Commit to the Lord whatever you do and your plans will succeed.
From the kitchen...we will be having taco night. Something quick since the boys are off to their last practice, while I am off to Tammy's house. Family meals around the table are so important to me.

Around the house...I see plenty that needs to be done. I need balance in my life...or a housekeeper!

One of my favorite things...is winning fabulous giveaways. I try to always tweet about giveaways which also show up on my sidebar.

A few plans for the rest of the week...The last Upward game, bible study, Wednesday church for the boys, going to the regional games, and subbing. Michael will be going to a Men's conference at church with Aaron Friday night and Saturday. I hoping to go out with some friends Saturday night. Fun, busy week.

My Word Picture...

Huh? What are you doing?

Okay, this is fun!

Teaching Caden how to glue his hand and then peel! I use to love doing this when I was little. I had to pass on the fun.

It's strange how many people don't eat around the table anymore. I have to wonder if that's why we have so many problems today?

What a fabulous post :) Our family does eat dinner every night, but I wonder if we will always be able to pull that off as the kids get bigger - I will do my best to make sure it does!

Shredding? I've decided it's not enough cardio. I'm still doing it, and am probably stronger than I've ever been, but the weight's still there so I'm adding in some treadmill. We'll see :)

Sounds like a busy week! You will have to let us know how the Bible study goes, it sounds like a very interesting book. Love the photo at the end! Caden is such a cutie!
Have a great day!

I have to laugh because I went in art today while Caden was in there, and he had just gotten glue on his hand and wasn't too happy about it! Is this a result of that? HAHA He likes it now. I was walking down the hall today and I saw a kid in the distance by the lunchroom waving at me and it was him. :) Kara

Great post! I'm still shredding. I've been trying to get a run when it is warmer in the afternoons. So, I am not as regular with the Shred as I need to be. But still doing it! :)

Love these Daybook posts Rhonda! Cute pictures too - I remember peeling glue. How funny!

Your Date Experiment sounds like a really great idea! I think going on dates is a big secret in a happy marriage. I know I am so much happier when we are able to get out together.

We eat together each night. Although Jeff travels alot, but the kids and I are always eating together. It's the time when I get a chance to ask them about their day.

I am doing terrible on my shredding. I am stressed out wondering why I'm doing this to myself. I need to get my act together.

Love you friend. I hope things are going well. I think you are awesome!

XOXO

What is the Great Date Experiment?

I am still shredding- it gets my heart up and pumping and I like that!

Funny, we had tacos last night too!!!

Lastly, couldn't tell what your son was doing and he gave me the shivers to see him pull on his skin...then I realized it was glue- funny!

Happy Wednesday!

I forgot how fun the whole glue thing on the hand was. I'm sure I garnered hours of entertainment with that little trick!

The book you're reading for Bible study looks like a good one, I'll have to check that out.

Hope the 90 day Bible shows up for you!
